  • Camp Hill Baptist Church Media Minister

Created a website for my church (camphillbaptistchurch.org) and serve as the webmaster in order to maintain and update the site;

In charge of all media relations including press releases, podcasts, radio broadcasts and other public announcements;

Also help plan youth and children's quarterly activities and mission trips;

  • Chambers County School System Public Relations Intern

January 2008-April 2008

Responsibilities include covering events, writing, and sending press releases for the eleven schools in the county, as well as writing press releases for the Superintendent and sending them to local newspapers;

Creating a system-wide brochure to be distributed throughout the schools system for prospective families and students in the area;

Other responsibilities include creating a quarterly system-wide newsletter, as well as archiving records of all articles or pictures that recognize the school system and its individual schools;

  • Cottage Hill Baptist Church Student Ministry Intern

Planning, organizing, and implementing all summer activities for the Cottage Hill Baptist Church Student Ministry

Planning activities for a summer youth camp, any weekly or special events for the youth (Vacation Bible School and an local Mission Trip for junior and senior high school students), as well as communicating with involved adults for each event

Instructing, singing, and overseeing practices for a newly formed junior high school worship band

  • Director of Fundraising for Hurricane Katrina Victim

August 2005

Independently created and implemented a fundraising event by securing support from a popular business establishment to host a two day event which raised significant money for an Auburn University student whose family lost everything in Hurricane Katrina. Sufficient funds were raised to finance books and tuition for 2 semesters.

This effort involved arranging an e-mail campaign to Auburn University students, designing posters, recruiting and directing workers, organizing work shifts, and communicating with the business owner.

  • Miss Reach For A Cure 2006-2007

Participant and winner of the Miss Reach For A Cure 2006 in order to raise funds to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

  • American Cancer Society Relay For Life
Five year participant of Relay For Life. Team member for three years with the Diagnostic and Medical Clinic of Mobile Infirmary and two years with social sorority.
